Let's dive in 👇
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Ulster Museum Late: Fashionably Late
Thursday 21 May · 18:00 · Ulster Museum
This one is worth planning around. £10 gets you into the Ulster Museum after hours for an adults-only evening built around the Ashes to Fashion exhibition: get tattooed with your favourite museum object by Hallowed Heart Tattoo, do life drawing in the art galleries, have a tote printed by Leo Boyd Prints, and dance to DJ Thom in the galleries throughout. A vintage clothes market runs alongside the event.
Ray LaMontagne: Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour
Friday 22 May · 20:00 · Waterfront Hall
Performing Trouble in full for the first time since the album came out in 2004, LaMontagne brings the 20th anniversary tour to Waterfront Hall after two sold-out nights in Dublin. The album introduced him with "Trouble", "Shelter", and "Jolene" — three songs that have been following people around for two decades. Waterfront Hall's main stage gives this a different quality to the smaller rooms he's been playing; good acoustics for this kind of material. A remastered vinyl edition is out alongside the tour.

Susie McCabe: Best Behaviour
Friday 22 May · 20:00 · The Black Box
Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow award winner, a regular on Have I Got News For You and Frankie Boyle's New World Order, who has toured with Kevin Bridges and John Bishop: Susie McCabe is one of the sharpest on the Scottish comedy circuit. Best Behaviour was built after a heart attack last year forced her to examine how she had been living. This is one of the final dates on the tour before she takes a new show to Edinburgh.
Carly Pearce
Wednesday 20 May · 19:30 · Waterfront Hall
Grammy Award-winning Nashville country artist Carly Pearce plays the Waterfront Hall main stage on Wednesday. Her run of albums since 2017 has built a serious catalogue; this is a headline show at the right scale.
Chief Keegan
Friday 22 May · 21:00 · Scott's Jazz Club
Dublin instrumental funk band behind debut album The Piles High Club, tight grooves and hooks that translate well in a small room. Scott's Jazz Club is the right size.

The Music of Coldplay (By Candlelight)
Thursday 21 May · Ulster Hall
Candlelit orchestral tribute to Coldplay at Ulster Hall, with world-class vocalists performing the anthems. Ulster Hall is one of the better acoustic spaces in Belfast for this format and a genuinely comfortable room.
The Listening Room
Saturday 23 May · 20:00 · Jukō
Soul, folk, poetry, and storytelling in an intimate setting at Jukō on Saturday night. The format rewards close attention; check the listing for confirmed performers on the night.
Rachel Galvo: The Shite Feminist
Monday 25 May · 19:00 · Limelight 2
Comedy and music from Rachel Galvo in the smaller Limelight stage. The title tells you the angle: sharp and self-aware without taking itself too seriously.
Light (feat. Albert Mills)
Saturday 23 May · 14:00 · Belfast Empire Music Hall
Afternoon show at the Empire featuring Albert Mills. The listing describes it as an art and creativity event open to all ages but doesn't give much more detail — check the Empire's event page before going.

Lord Mayor's Fun Day
Saturday 23 May · 12:00 · Drumglass Park
The Belfast City Council Lord Mayor's Fun Day at Drumglass Park with bubbles, splash activities, and sensory play for younger children. Free all afternoon.
Tipsy Bird Drag Brunch & Bingo
Saturday 23 May · 18:00 · The Tipsy Bird
Drag performance, brunch, bingo at The Tipsy Bird. One of the more reliably good nights of this format in Belfast.

Pint of Science: The Science of Everyday Data
Wednesday 20 May · 20:00 · The Black Box
Data science in a pub setting as part of the international Pint of Science festival. Informal, accessible, no background required.
Watercolour Painting with Natural Inks with Kristen Robb
Saturday 23 May · The Duncairn
Watercolour workshop using naturally derived inks, led by Kristen Robb at The Duncairn. A community arts centre in North Belfast that runs good workshop programming throughout the year.
